To say it is complete bullshit would also be ignorant. There are some good theories that the scientific community blatantly ignores because "religion" is the basis of the theories conception.
Although I don't really accept the standard creation theory nor do I accept evolution, I don't really like siding. |

Intelligent design, I feel, provides a good starting middle ground for those who have been caught in the middle.

Umm, no, I.D. is a theory other then evolution to explain origin other then that wonderful idea of "random chance". Your odds are better at winning the lottery then having random chemicals create a biological life form. |

Agreed, this thread had its run before my time, but I remember reading the first few posts and agreeing with what Mathias said. Also, I've tried to understand the difference between ID and evolution, and all I ever come up with is that ID is the same thing as evolution, except God- or an "intelligent source"- created life instead of random chance. |

Bad example, as people do win the lottery, but yeah, in the enviroment that is primordial earth the chance of random protein formation is next to nil. They can't even do it in labs.
My theory on this is more like the one that started off the thread. Evolution is the thought process of God, which explains the problems in evolution and follows Genesis. It's so pragmatic that I have to beleive it.
But yeah, threads like this don't usually accomplish much, it's too much of a heated issue for either side to change most of the time.
