I never really understood why people would even want to pay $xxx for a cell phone. There was one review of the iPhone where the reviewer left her job at a toy shop early to ensure she was at the head of the line. She works at a toy shop. And when someone suggested that they may have something better to do with their toy shop wages than plunk down $500 for the latest thing that Apple is working hard to make obsolete, Mac fanboys got all defensive.
I'm cool with my cell phone that came free with my cell phone plan. I can upgrade in August, and that one will come with a camera. Awesome. See, by 2012, I'll be getting the equivalent of an iPhone for free, and iTards will be spending thousands of dollars for a cell phone that can turn into a Silver Surfer-esque surfboard because that's going to be everyone's preferred mode of transportation. And by "everyone" I of course mean "elitist dirtbags". |

Shit, I don't even own a phone! 
If I want to call someone I use the public telephone rather than resort to conforming like others with a piece of plastic permanently stuck to their frickin' ears!
At least that way I can get some piggin' peace and quiet...unless I use public transport...and then I get some dipshit shouting into her cellphone assuming she's cool as shit and that everyone actually wants to hear her retarded conversations about who is breaking up with whom, who is sleeping behind who's back, or some d00d who thinks he's hip and "modern" yacking such complete and utter crap into his cellphone about...nothing!

How are they conformists? That's like saying everyone who drinks water is a conformist. Not all pay phones are well kept. Lots of people use them and birds shit on 'em, not everyone wants to pick a phone up and speak into a mouthpiece that's been spat into by hundreds of others before. Also, it reduces lines of people waiting to use them.
I don't even see how owning one is conforming. You don't like hearing people talk on trains? Then get better headphones that cut out back ground noise. Better yet, get a bike and ride that bitch every where so you're not a train riding conformist you fucking conformist.

Okay, let me explain this in the most straight-forward way I can: what my initial ranting response was to this thread was towards all the people who specifically own a mobile phone purely to live up to a trend. Those are the ones who don't need a fricking cellphone but do own one to fit in with a fashion ideal. Understand the "conformity" angle there?

Or I can choose to use a train/bus etc. Why should I be hampered in my choices of transportation by rude people who only think of themselves? Equally, why should I have to pay the expense of a owning a vehicle such as a bike on the basis of loud people with a piece of plastic permanently lodged to their ears when public transport will suffice?

2005:08 (every month and a half)
2006:04 (every three months)
2007 so far: 04
So, rejoice, maybe we'll have another article before year's end.
But here's a suggestion, so that this doesn't reek so much of criticism:
