I'm surprised no one has made this thread yet.

I've always mostly been into RPGs, and classics of course. My favorite games ever are: Starcraft, Lunar, Castlevania, Final Fantasy VII, and Donkey Kong Country.

Starcraft and Fanal Fantasy Tactics (the original one for PS not the gameboy advanced version).

I'm really into Lotr: The Third Age right now.

Morrowind (both expansions and a plethora of mods), Knights of the Old Republic, Battlefield1942 (battlegroup42 and forgottenhope mods) and IL2.

My all-time favorite: Chrono Trigger.

Other favorites: Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy IV (followed by FFVI, then any random order of the others), Arc the Lad Collection (this was a translation and such by Working Designs, it has AtL games 1-3 on it), Samurai Warriors (this game is great...just be wary of Ranmaru...that's NOT a female!), both Shadow Hearts and Shadow Hearts: Covenant (very great supernatural RPG games with a historical setting as the backdrop), more may come later.

And just for the hell of it.

Memorable NES classics: Final Fantasy, Excitebike, Metroid, Duck Hunt, Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, Ice Climbers, Link, Megaman (the only one in this list that I don't own but wish I did)

YEAH, I totally forgot about Kingdom Hearts. Great game.

And as for SNES games, I forgot about Spiderman too.

Yeah, it definitely gives you a whole new game.

Oh, and also, Lemmings 1 and 2. And my all time favorite game: Arcanum. I recommend this game like there is no tomorrow. Everything is amazing; the music, the gameplay, the story, the AHHHH.

Tactics was fucking awesome, but no way it was greater than FF7. FF7 was the crowning glory of technology back in the day. Tactics couldn't claim that.

...Why the hell is TECHNOLOGY a way of dictating how good a GAME is? That's like saying that a movie that was just about a pie flying through the air in the exact same type of setting for two hours would rock because it used bullet-time in some spots, if it were done before The Matrix. In the end, it's about the gameplay itself, NOT about how well they can portray BIGTITS (the name someone I know gave Tifa)'s ginormous breasts or how kickass Cloud's Omnislash looks. And sadly, Square-Enix fell for this crap later down the line, which is going to probably result in them horribly milking a cash cow called the Final Fantasy series (which is unfortunate, because I don't want to see them ruin my favorite series of all time).
